4D textiles can be created from 3D printing on stretched-out textiles. This can result in shape-changing fabrics that could possibly be used as interfaces for wearables and interiors. By researching the expressivity and interaction of 11 different shape-changing textiles with experts in the field, I discovered how shadow play, tempo and their form influence tangible interaction.
